Our Story

Rico Construction was started in 1998 by immigrant founders who came to Utah with a work ethic and not much else, and built a company one pour at a time. There was no inherited client list and no shortcut — just the standard that the work had to be right, every time, or it didn't go out the door.

That standard is still the company. Today Rico is run by the same family. Ruben Rico holds the license and leads field operations, QA/QC, safety, and the equipment and fleet. His wife and co-owner, Adriana R. Rico, runs payroll, insurance, and project administration. Their oldest son leads preconstruction and project management; their youngest son is the chief estimator. Two generations, one accountable team.

We earned our reputation on high-end custom homes in Park City — some of the most demanding concrete and excavation work in the state. We're now bringing that same craftsmanship and discipline to commercial, multifamily, and industrial projects across Utah. The company has grown, but the promise hasn't: done right, on schedule, and owned start to finish.

How We Work

Five things we don't compromise on.

1
Own the work.We take responsibility from the first stake to the final pour. No finger-pointing.
2
Build it right the first time.Quality and tolerance are not negotiable — on a custom home or a commercial slab.
3
Communicate like a partner.Clear, proactive updates. The client is never the last to know.
4
Respect the craft and the crew.Safety, skill, and dignity for the people doing the work.
5
Earn the next job.Every project is an audition for the relationship, not a transaction.
